It really is some next-dimension shit. The environments and character models are surprisingly aesthetically pleasing, even if animations like walking have the stiffness of a PS2 game. Gameplay is challenging but mad satisfying.

You shoot bosses to whittle their health into a stagger then engage in a melee with parrying, dodging, and fast-paced slicing and dicing.

Story is engaging on a surface level but as you dive into it, you realize it’s as shallow as the kiddie pool. Soundtrack sets the tone for badass moments and you’ll be pushing on through knockout after knockout. Bosses vary in difficulty; it’s not a gradual progression as some are harder early and some are easier later.

Furi is a super well-polished indie game, check it out.
