Amazing step up from the first game in every way. Compared to the first game the gameplay is a lot more refined, the story and characters are genuinely interesting, and there's a good amount of variety. The mechanics are mostly the same, but improvements to your allied AI makes the experience much more fair overall, while still staying challenging on the hardcore difficulty for me. This is one of the best 3rd-person shooters I've ever played, I highly recommend it.
