The first true horror game I've played, and I'm glad kuon was the one I chose.

Great atmosphere, light on jumpscares, and has an interesting play on immortality.

The bosses were usually pretty easy. In fact, most of the enemies in general are quite easy, once you get a feel for the combat.

I don't believe this is an issue though, since what I enjoyed about the game was the setting, taking place in the Heian period inside of an estate, the plot, (which is somewhat missible if you aren't reading the books and papers you pick up) that plays with the concept of immortality and the lengths that some people will go to achieve that, and the atmosphere, which was very well done by using fixed camera angles allowing the developers to place things on the screen that might make you look twice to notice.

Overall, the game was very fun once I got used to it, and I especially enjoyed the gameplay element that the "seals" brought, which would have you ignore locked doors and come back later when you are able to open them after acquiring the appropirate seal breaker. This is present in other games/genres, but I believe it was a very important and entertaining feature.
