I will have to agree with the review below me in saying that the first one was more enjoyable for me than the second, but for different reasons.
I didn't mind Chidori, I thought she was a decent character, I just am very sorry for her to have to put up with Erika.
I very much don't like Erika. She is evil, rude, a know-it-all, hypocrite, and "teases" friends for being gay. Towards the end, she got a little less annoying, but I won't forget how she acted throughout 80% of this game.

@EdmondDantes I noticed you have on your account that only visual novels are included on it and it breaks my heart to say it but 13 sentinels is in fact not a visual novel but merely a story heavy adventure game. I’ll copy paste a good post I saw explaining it for you:
“There are multiple reasons why it doesn't constitute as a VN. One of the most predominant reasons is that the reading is constantly interrupted by forcing the player to run around and talk to someone else, leave the area, pick a thought from the thought cloud or talk to that very same person again... Sometimes after a single sentence/line of dialogue. Also there's very little narration. Everything is shown through animation.
By any definition, the game's more of a (point and click) adventure than a VN.
This was discussed at VNDB ad nauseam and there is a quote by one of their admins/mods which I wholeheartedly agree with:
Imagine that you have a book, but after reading each sentence you are forced to go from the living room you are in, to the kitchen and back, before you can read another sentence. And you have to repeat that after each sentence. If someone asks "What are you doing?", are you gonna say "I'm reading a book" or "I'm aimlessly walking from one room to another".

This clearly indicates that it is closer to an adventure game than anything else. The entire interaction with the game world is far closer to that than a VN”

its basically a vn
dont need to make a copypasta out of it

Very convincing argument agenda, thank you for your insight
@Ophelia
I would not follow what VNDB has to say since they accept the Ace Attorney games on their site, the Ace Attorney games contradicting the definition you wrote (they even refused to delete the AA-games just because it would be too problematic since it's really popular).
But it's actually not the subject of this review so I don't know why you bring that up.

@EdmondDantes I didn’t mention anything about vndb being the decision maker of whether a game is a visual novel or not, I merely posted the argument to why it is not one. As you said for ace attorney since you want to go down that route, they don’t consider them visual novels and only keep them on the site to avoid uproar of removing them so I’m not sure why you brought it up
As for why I started talking about 13 sentinels, the reviewer (Zylo) doesn’t want to reply to your post and thought it’d be funny if I commented on your backloggd having 13 sentinels since its VN only
Ophelia calling me out...
Hope you had fun then (Backloggd is really full of weird people lol)
It was her idea, in case you wanted to know :)
I just didn't see the point of arguing why I didn't like Erika to someone with an Erika pfp and has Été as one of their favourite games, it likely wouldn't be a fun discussion

EdmondDantes, it is quite rude to call people weird. Did your parents not teach you this?
iunno man barging into a random conversation saying something about a different vn :troll: with a copypasta is quite a strange thing to do
and as for “not using vndb word as law” it would seem it’s the crux of your argument yuri so that statement is false
get trolled

Yuri moment
This discussion is really funny, I did not know having an Erika pfp and having Flowers été in my top 3 VN would have these consequences, thank you Zylo and Ophelia.
The only Yuri I know is the amazing genre
Yuri (Japanese: 百合, lit. "lily"), also known by the wasei-eigo construction girls' love (ガールズラブ, gāruzu rabu), is a genre of Japanese media focusing on intimate relationships between female characters. While lesbianism is a commonly associated theme, the genre is also inclusive of works depicting emotional and spiritual relationships between women that are not necessarily romantic or sexual in nature. Yuri is most commonly associated with anime and manga, though the term has also been used to describe video games, light novels, and literature.

I agree she's not perfect, she's rude, she's also a bit arrogant, and she's not always kind (like when she neglected Chidori a little bit) but it's like you just saw the surface of her personality, she's actually really caring (Suoh herself said it), she's just bad at showing it. And it's a bit unfair to blame her for teasing her friends when she's also teased in return. I don't know how she's a hypocrite, more that she struggled with her own feelings/emotions.
