Despite its flaws its still a fun time.

I didn't have high expectations for the story but so much of the gameplay gets in the way of itself at times. Combat feels slow because of all the badass Hokuto Shinken moves you can do. Bosses are both too easy and too hard. Too much filler of running in circles to talk to a guy to Change the time of day to go talk to another guy to go change the time of day again to talk to someone. Even if I enjoy it the side content games like Cabaret or Bartending feel way more tacked on than anything like the Pocket Circuit or Taxi Driving in Yakuza.

Much like other RGG titles the game really shines in its substories, taking a stoic buff weirdo and putting him in situations where he's out of place worked for 7 yakuza games and it continues to work here.

Play this if you like RGG titles already or wanna see dudes heads get exploded.
