Often overshadowed by it's predecessor, Dream Team it's a game that every Mario RPG fanatic needs to play at some point in their lives.
The only criticism that I can think of is it's irregular pacing, but is not really a deal-breaker.
Overall, a fantastic entry in the Mario & Luigi series.

The pacing seems fine to me so far on my replay.

It's often considered one of the longest in the series, specially in the Mount Pajamaja part of the game.
That doesn't mean I love it any less. I mean, it's my second favorite in the series, only upstaged by Bowser's Inside Story.
