There's no other game I could recommend to replace this one if you're really into competitive, (mostly) serious sim-racing against real people. Though, as much as I enjoy this game and acknowledge its technical achievements, the moderation of everyday racing leaves a bit to be desired.

The game's way of auto-moderating races is extremely harsh, docking you points for wrecks that were completely out of your control because the system can't/wont determine who was actually at fault for an accident. It's not really an issue once you're used to driving and can kinda predict what typical drivers will do, but half of the community is comprised of oval-racing, which makes keeping a high safety rating almost impossible when you're basically gambling on if you get caught up in two big crashes every race.
