Having 100%'d the 1.0 version, I was actually a bit worried that the game leaving early access would make everything clear and have specific known functions. However, 1.0 is out, and some items still do nothing, some mysteries still have loose ends and some NPCs who are likely to play an important role can't be interacted with.

But I like the game better this way.

There will come a day when every loose end will be explained or tied together, and everything will make sense. It will become a very solid role-playing/roguelite game with a strong focus on resource management and risk assessment. But for a game that is so much about mysteries, superstitions, cults, the unknown, the unexplained and the uncertain, I think the game is actually better for having elements whose direct mathematical utility we don't know and may never know. That's the game right there. That's how Shiokawa feels.

Since pantasz can't make every copy of WoH personalized just to fuck with us, always having loose ends for us to speculate about is the next best thing. If the current ones are to be made intelligible as resources, risks or numbers some day, I hope we get new ones to replace them.
