really tedious, inorganic, and underwritten even for its short runtime and i loathe that it's a fucking covid narrative but i highly recommend at least seeking out the part where "Saffron" the obligatory artsy indie girl delivers perhaps the worst-executed performance of a panic attack in media history

Shame, Wales Interactive stuff I find is usually some top tier amateur FMV cheese. The Shapeshifting Detective is pretty silly, in a good way.
I agree! This one is just really devoid of a hook beyond the (bad) interpersonal dialogue and does this annoying thing where your friend calls you after EVERY date to recap what just happened and it's so tedious... I love a good FMV hellgame though and I'm still grumpy that the internet vitriol robbed me of the high grade cheese of Gamer Girl. which seemingly got shelved after that admittedly awful trailer... i wanted to be the hero twitch moderator....
Gamer Girl being seemingly cancelled was heartbreaking. That game looked perfect for that FMV cheese lol
