Wish I liked this more but man it really falls apart at the end. Way too rushed in it's conclusion and honestly I'm not sure it would work even with better pacing. All the meta moments and twists are neat but never as mindblowing as they should be, the structure of the game is halfway between a standard VN and a Virtue's Last Reward style ADV game but rather than mixing the two approaches into something new Paranormasight winds up feeling unsatisfying and weaker than either style of narrative design. Feels like it probably should have leaned more into the horror of the opening and definitely should have leaned more into point-and-click ADV game mechanics. Still, the character designs and art are great, the mystery is a lot of fun to work out before you get to the ending, and the files about minor cultural and historical aspects of Sumida are really interesting. This is by no means a bad game, it's presented quite well and based on it's reception so far I'm sure most people will get more out of the story than it did.
