The concept of “horror game where childhood icon is actually an evil killer in its abandoned factory” has been through hell and back, and Poppy Playtime manages to kinda at least try to deliver a good take on that concept.

To start i will give this game props for a few things, I do think the story is at least somewhat interesting, the atmosphere definitely helps to add more for the scare factor, and although the character designs may be basic, they do provide a scare when they absolutely HAVE to.

With that being said, I don’t care for the puzzles at all. While the “grab pack” may be unique, the puzzles it’s used for are just not fun at all. As i stated before this game is just really basic and doesn’t add anything incredibly unique to the concept other than the grab pack.

Overall I think this game is just ok, it’s not horrible but it’s also not great.
