There is a lot to love in this game, but a good third of the missions felt like padding and just boring as sin. I was actively upset the entire time I was inside of Leviathan. The combat, soundtrack, and story are all really great, but the only times the game came close to reaching the high of the first Vergil fight, was during the other Vergil fights. Most of the bosses are good to inoffensive, but some of them I just didn't like at all. Beowulf annoyed me really bad for some reason, I just couldn't click with him. The fight with Arkham was also so easy it was just boring, the only memorable thing about it was when Vergil shows up and its raw as fuck.

I appreciate a lot of things about this game, but I don't think anything in it is as extraordinary as the internet has led me to believe. It is a hell of a jump from 2, but I don't think its the best in the series, much less one of the best action games ever made.
