It's an overall fine Splatterhouse spin-off, which focuses more on platforming rather than the beat 'em-up gameplay you would normally associate the series with.
Each stage gets progressively more difficult, and the last stage can be especially grueling. Luckily there's a password system so you can learn through trial and error without having to replay a stage more times than you need to.
The more comedic presentation was a nice break from the more horror-focused presentation of the 3 classic games.
