It's a great game if you want a retro Castlevania experience, though it didn't quite click with me.
The choice of non-pixelated graphics removes from the charm of the original and makes it look immediately dated.
Music was pretty good.
Controls always felt a little rough.
It starts out pretty easy. You can breeze through the first 3 stages in practically no time.
Things begin getting more difficult in stage 4. This is where stages also begin getting longer and with tougher enemies.
Limited lives weren't much of a problem, but they are now. Luckily there are unlimited continues, so it isn't that bad.
The best aspect were the bosses, which felt pretty fun to play against. (Stage 6 was a borderline overkill though)
