Played on PS3 again my original PS3 with original controller from 2009 which still works fine. Why do new controllers last 5 minutes only this one is 14. -- my first playstation and first PS controller and first PS game (this actual copy even)

I have no idea how many times I've played this as back in the day played the first bits a lot of times without then finishing the rest. I was spooked by the (as it turns out very brief) zombie bits so I actually never beat this game until after I had beaten the second one (possibly multiple times).
