A really solid strategy game with a lot of improvements from it's previous editions. Districts are a very compelling and interesting addition that are very fun to learn and optimize around. It plays very similarly to Civ 5 but fixes many of the issues I had with it, playing wide is a more viable option and victory types feel more varied and thought out. Some people might find the art style jarring but personally that doesn't bother me. Biggest issues are probably issues with balance and complexity, religious combat being very boring and one dimensional whilst also locking founding religions to a limited number of "players" mean that levels of complexity get stripped away compared to something like a domination victory. Overall a very addictive gameplay experience and makes me excited for a future installment.
