This was actually only my 2nd ever Final Fantasy game, after FF7 Remake, and I'm actually into this!
The combat system feels so freaking good to use, the visuals are out of this world and the narrative has a nice grounded feel that keeps a consistent tone throughout.
The side quests in the beginning of the game are totally pointless, but the side content later in the game is actually quite good! I wish they just trimmed the game down and made it more streamlined. I did also miss the idea of party members and just playing as the one character wasn't as good.
