Yapping incoming.
As someone who only played P3P, this game hit way harder, even though I knew everything that was gonna happen in the game.
The gameplay was phenomenal, I used to hate Tartarus in P3P but now they made this awesome cycle of doing 4 to 5 hrs of climbing Tartarus and going back and doing 4 to 5 hrs of Social Links/Story stuff. Stuff like Theurgies and Personalities was also an awesome touch and made the gameplay more engaging.
Music oh my GOD the music. Overall this has some of my favorite songs in the franchise such as Color Your Night and It's Going Down Now. The remade songs are also such bops, When Moon's Reaching Out Stars and Changing Seasons to name a few. Although there might be some tracks I love in other versions like the Movie versions, they did a phenomenal job.
Social Links and Link Episodes (whoever made them PLEASE WE MUST KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE GAMES/REMAKES) are SO GOOD. A good amount of them made me cry like Akinari and Bebe and like man. Such good side characters man. I really felt their bonds.
Story. What can be said of the story? I played P3P and watched the Movies and being the Fool I am, I didn't expect to cry this much in Reload. The new voice cast combined with the high-quality cutscenes and additional anime scenes made everything flow so well and the emotional moments became even more heart-shattering. The only game I cried more to is Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Overall, P3R is in my top 2 games of all time. It made me remember that life is short, and it being fleeting is what makes it so beautiful and unique. I appreciate the people I know and the bonds I forged even more because of this game. Sending love to my friends and loved ones <3.
