This one is a bit more engaging than the last one, though it still has it's issues with system explanations. I played about four hours and my characters were either absolutely mutilating everything in sight or being completely devastated themselves, but I don't know what led to this since statistical growth seems strange. I also had one of my mutants continuously replacing learned offensive magic with the exact same cure spell, and I have no clue as to why. I made an effort to research how these things work, but my brain was having trouble comprehending any explanation I saw, and the amount of fun I was having with the game was not enough to warrant diving in further. I think the Saga series is known for having overly complex systems in place, but I guess I would've expected Gameboy titles with the most basic turn-based actions possible to be easier to pick up and play. Evidently I am not smart enough to enjoy these games at this time, so hopefully future entries managed to open themselves to newcomers a bit better. 2/6
