The only two issues I really felt like I had with this game were the story (and more so the ending), and the character of Arno. They both just feel a bit out of place, like the story wasn't really going anywhere, but I did at least feel like at certain points I was starting to like the character, and then nearer the end of the game there was a switch and everything just went out the window.

Those things aside, I feel like this game was trying new things whilst trying to stay faithful to what it had been.

The movement was better by being able to freerun up or down, which meant that generally Arno always moved where you were meaning him to, which is a first for many of the Assassin's Creed games.

Even the combat, I understand why some people don't like it especially when having played the previous games but I think it actually worked pretty well. It had a good balance between tougher combat for those who wanted it, while still allowing those who wanted to assassinate everyone to do so by clever use of the smoke bombs.

This game still wasn't for everyone, but for people who actually liked the assassin part of assassin's creed, i'd definitely recommend it.
