I had some good first impressions upon starting the game. The controls are good, everything works as it should, there is TONS of content and options to customise the ball that you control etc. However, the more I played the more I disliked the direction the game was taking and I noticed how monotonous the experience became. It felt like I was pushing myself to play it after a while.

The main mode is classic that has 16 chapters. I’ve done about 60-70% with all 3 stars. 3 stars are awarded when you collect everything in the level. There are 10 other modes you can unlock the more stars you collect and the game has some daily rankings. The gameplay has you controlling a ball through rolling around an object. You don’t control the character in a traditional sense, it’s all based on timing and finding the next object you can stick to before reaching the exit. Kind of like Spider-Man I guess?

It works and it’s fun. The game became less fun when it started forcing you to move quickly and flawlessly or be killed by moving spikes or lasers. I liked taking my time and trying to figure the best way to collect everything. Kind of like a puzzle game. But the game is clearly not about that after a couple of chapters. The challenge kept increasing gradually to the point that I didn’t want to go farther.

If you like the sound of that, then definitely give it a try. It’s just not the kind of game I’m looking for.
