Mario Party 5 has some things that I think are improved over Mario Party 4 like the maps are pretty great, and I think the overall presentation is much better. Although, this game has way too many luck minigames and RNG to where I feel like this game, in particular, has me pissed off the most, even though Mario Party is never about skill. Another weird thing is the roster, the Donkey Kong space feels pretty useless here, so why remove Donkey Kong for pretty much no reason? (Mario Party 6 uses DK correctly IMO). The capsules are not a bad idea either but are better utilized in the sequel much like Donkey Kong. Mario Party 5 is solid but likely the worst experience of the great Gamecube era of Mario Party.
