As a game itself; it's just fine, just like Sonic 3 it's the best parts of the classic era, but it's just more proof that Sonic 3 needed more time to have all of the new stuff added into it. Because if Sonic 3 came with Sonic and Knuckles right out of the box you could've had the best 2D sonic game period.
