I liked it fine alright but then somehow even with all the improvements in visuals and making things even more cinematic, it felt like this was a bit of a downgrade to the first game. The first game had a very simple story and yet it felt like there was a good reason to make a game out of it but here I feel like they could've taken a bit more risk with it now that there are more than one characters around you. But I did like what they tried with the ending. Those voices in your head this time around don't have the same impact as the previous game, got too lame this time around with other characters being present and everything.

The graphics is amazing especially those photo realistic character models, they look too real for a game when you look at them without any upscaling. But the game was so demanding to do things like that. Absolutely cooked my laptop gpu 🥲 the vram memory leaks were too often, it's so joever for my 3060 laptop, I hoped it could carry itself till gta 6 dropped, but not looking good at all. The blackbars were anything but cinematic imo, the only reason they would have opted for that would be too increase performance on consoles, game looked so much good when I removed those bars. Also I feel like I spent more time figuring how to enable frame generation mods on this than actually playing the game 💀. I fucking hate when games gate keep you from key features and pay wall it. What was their excuse for not bringing in official fsr frame gen support when dlss frame gen was available day one? Can't pull such acts when the game is this demanding and half the playerbase would struggle to run it properly.

They've toned down on combat it isn't as frequently occurring as the previous game but most of the walking segments feel so polished visually compared to the previous game. But then again they're hardly interactive like the previous game, so I kinda preferred such segments more from the previous game. The combat makes everything so cinematic and we'd think that's a good thing, it kinda is but then I feel like they overdid it when it started to feel like there was a 20 second cutscene everytime you parry, that's pretty immersion breaking for a game, hopefully they find the right balance next game but I had more fun with the combat previous game despite its clunkiness. So yeah they cooked with the animations but also went overboard with it. I feel like the reason why people are giving it flack is because of the pricing. The game is at best a 6-8 hour game with no replayablity and most of it is just about the atmosphere and walking through it, so yeah I expect people to be mad about it. Combat is both an improvement and a downgrade at the same time and the puzzles are definitely underwhelming compared to the last game but I still feel it was a neat experience overall. I will no doubt play the next game if they ever make it.
