I must say this was really good with some fun gameplay mechanics, surprisingly good controls, and a bopping soundtrack.
My only gripe being that sometimes there were some frustrating difficulty spikes but I last played this a year and a half ago and I used to really suck at video games, so I might do better next time I play

oh of course, I 100%-ed it and beat every side mission, and I hold the No. 1 fastest speedrun for it, not to mention 100%ing the DS version and playing every fan mod on an emulator.
Ah and sonic is for babies (hold forward = easy win)
Ok, hear me out. After playing Sonic 2 I have felt some sense of relief, and become more open to actually playing Sonic games and THEN explaining how I feel about these more modern games. Do I think it will be good? Not really. But I'm not opposed to giving it a shot.
It does feel different from other boost type games and has way more of an emphasis on platforming so if you enjoyed the classic games I think you should have a good time.
