After playing this game it made me realize that I was way to harsh on Mario Kart 7. I know a lot of people have a soft spot for this game but I'm sorry to say it but I don't think this game is that good. The physics are janky and the tracks are generally pretty boring and it always felt more like luck than skill if I ever won a match. The only reason I'm choosing to give this a 5/10 is because:
a. the soundtrack is quite nice
b. while the tracks are eh here but they went on to be solid in later games
c. the luck based gameplay can make multiplayer very fun
