Honestly lays a great foundation for future pokemon games' gameplay, but gamefreak never seems to want to stick with a good formula. This game is ugly as sin but overall plays very well and has some of the best new pokemon designs in a while. (A flamingo pokemon named flamingo minus one letter? peak.)
