Some slight gameplay improvements over the first game, but these are cancelled out by a weaker and less interesting story.

I was hardly a fan of the original, but I could at least see some interesting things about its setting and main conflict that could justify the praise around it. Meanwhile, I don't see what it is about this game's story that can elicit a similar reaction.

Lamb is generally a much less interesting figure for an antagonist, relying far too heavily on meaningless ramblings about 'utopia' than any tangible ideas about what her vision entails. And while the first game could use the contrast between Ryan's ideals and the current state of Rapture as a way of criticizing him, nothing about Rapture actually reflects Lamb's vision which leaves it feeling rather thin by comparison.

At least its better than Infinite.
