Starting off, the story of the game is great. A lot of nice themes and I love how much they explore the characters. Each character really feels alive and feels like their own person, like you can actually believe they existed. And for me, they can be extremely relatable in the context of the overarching story. Plus the art and music was well done, I loved almost everything about this game.

Almost everything though. The biggest issue with the game is the pacing for sure. Many places overstay their welcome and although I don't think you need to grind for anything, it can be difficult to keep going with this game when you stay in the same area for like 1-2 hours longer than you realistically need to. And the battle system has the same issue of Persona where the magic and skills become mute if you just spam attack and get it over with. They become mostly important in the boss battles/bigger battles, which is great because although Omori's emotion system is simple, I think it works pretty well in these types of fights.

Overall, it's a great game, but can drag on a little too long. If it's on sale and you're interested from seeing the trailers, give it a shot. :)
