Creative Business Unit III created the pinnacle of spectacle action. Everything you did in combat felt so frickin cool, even when I was being Izuna Dropped by ninjas. The combat is truly the highest of high points in this game and it's accompanied by a great OST too. The Dominant fights were a level of spectacle I haven't seen since Asura's Wrath.

A few nitpicks I have is that combat visibility becomes very poor later in the game because the great graphics and explosive particle effects obstruct your view. Enemies will blend in with their environments so it's hard to see what they're winding up. The Chocobo moves slowly too despite how fast the animation looks.

The worst and most dreadful thing about this game is the writing. It starts out great and I thought it was going to go somewhere. It does not so you're left with some really garbage writing and side quests. It's so bad to the point I think Stranger of Paradise has better writing and that game is exceedingly good schlock.
