I just beat Halo Infinite campaign and it was ok. It has the best gun play and bosses. The grappleshot is the best armor ability in the series. Attaching to enemy vehicles and stealing them were fun. However the open world was lacking. I didn't feel the desire to explore, the environments were too similar. It was mostly mountains/ quarries. Halo CE, the first game, had more unique locations. The game is surprisingly short too; I know the other halo games were short but I thought the open world would have more meat on its bone. The only thing to do besides the main story is fighting enemy camps. I can get the same experience by doing the main story. The vehicles are my favorite parts of most halo games but the world didn't mash to well with them; the grappleshot felt like the best way to get around the mountains. I thought that I would unlock flying vehicles but I beat the game before that happened possibly. The story was ok but it felt like the story of halo 7 instead halo 6 since we only saw Cortana in flashbacks, 343 completely skip her time as the villain and halo infinite was just the fallout.
