replayed both recently in anticipation of 3 coming out and i have to say 2 really smooths out any rough edges 1 may have had. fewer long cinematics breaking the flow between fights, you no longer fail those button mashing qte's if you don't start on the first frame possible, and some key code seems to have been modified to occasionally make the focus target of the cutscene camera something other than bayonetta's cervix. if i had to choose between 1 and 2 for a parent or significant other to walk in on me playing, 2 takes it by a country mile.
