Sonic Frontiers Review

Been trying to get the review up for the past few minutes but it won’t work for some dumb reason and I can’t be bothered to fix it, so here’s a list review instead!

Got a good opportunity to play Frontiers just an Hour ago with my friend at EGX and it's a fun time! Not amazing but i had my fun with it, decent 7/10 experience so I'm gonna bullet point things worthy to note with the demo i played

-Started a bit slow but definitely picked up as i played along
-Default Controls feel really nice and fluid to use, oddly enough Cyberspace doesn't use them and feels sorta like Forces controls but marginally better making them not as fun as they could be
-Speaking of Cyberspace was fine (i played Sky Sanctuary and one of the green hill stages), definitely needed a bit of work to me in terms of difficulty and length but it serves as a neat little pace breaker to the Open World like the linear stages in Sunshine
-Exploring the Open World was definitely enjoyable, as said before it did start slowly but the flow of doing a few puzzles, some combat sections and the Boss
-Puzzles while competent are a bit too easy for my liking, hope it's one thing that improves throughout the game
-Combat encounters were great! They're not button mashy like i expected them to be especially on the hard difficulty, they feel fast and sort of like a mini puzzle of figuring out which of your arsenal is key in that scenario, highlights being Tower, Asura and Ninja
-Really dig the presentation despite not being the biggest fan of it initially, great atmosphere, music, sound design and graphics to boot, not my favourite in a sonic game but is definitely well put together

That's how I'd describe Frontiers as a whole, not my favourite game but definitely fun and well put together from the 2 times i managed to play it, some issues like Pop-in and save files are still present from previous demos, but it's definitely a worthwhile experience and the right step in 3D Sonic for me.
