One of the most hyped-about wrestling games in years, AEW Fight Forever was delayed, and then delayed again, and again, and when it eventually did release, out popped a 2010 PS3 game in 2023. The gameplay is rough. The minigames are on par with AEW's equally bad mobile games. Only a fraction of the roster is on it and probably 10% of those jumped ship to WWE since. The creation suite, dear god. Road to Elite, much like WWE 2K's career modes, drags and feels like such a chore to get through. I'll give Fight Forever this, it's better than WWE 2K20 and Battlegrounds, and the developers refuse to give up on it, releasing updates pretty regularly. The unique weapon selection is also a pro, and I do enjoy some of the stipulations you won't find on any other wrestling game. I heard the horror stories and avoided playing it until it was free, because this is absolutely a $15 game sold for $60 upon its release.

Very similar to the first YDKJ with a slightly different design and Buzz Lippman as host. Introduces the Dis or Dat special question, which has become a staple in later releases.

In 2002 came an awful game,
NewKidCo's the folks to blame.
Shitty minigames everywhere you look,
All loosely based off the iconic book.
I would not, could not, play this again.
For it ranks in my book, a 1 out of 10.
I echo the sentiments of Sam I Am,
That I hope that this game be damned.

Ubisoft at its Ubisoft-iest with ridiculously long loading screens, a near broken online lobby system, and AIs that always fucking win. And of course you get the Ubisoft experience of them cramming their premium services down your throat and being able to do barely anything without it. The flash Uno games on sketchy websites are better than this.

Before millions of kids wasted time on 3D Space Cadet Pinball, Pokemon Pinball was probably the top choice in Y2K era pinball games, and for good reason. Addictive, unique, and still holds up well today.

Genuinely has enough dialogue to double as a full-length Penguins of Madagascar episode.

This game's title lies! Not the least bit fun!

I've found this is incredibly divisive - I thought it was super mid and way too long for me to continue caring about, I've had friends that loved this. I'm an appreciator of the movies but not a diehard, and I think this is especially a treat for the mega Back to the Future fans. Mid for me.

In the midst of early 2000s Super Smash-mania, somebody decided they really wanted Godzilla and Mothra to fight in big cities, but didn't own the trademarks, so they took the great value brand versions of those movie monsters and made a pretty mid PS2 title out of it.

One of the most nostalgic point and click CD-ROMs I owned as a kid. The Deep Dark Sea minigame went incredibly hard.

One of my favorite classic PS1 games is Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, which has stellar controls and seemingly infinite (and beyond) replayability. This? This is not that. This is, in fact, the very opposite, as Buzz slips and slides all over lazy maps with no story or reason to give a shit. You are a sad, strange little game.

Story mode is decent. Shit gets reaaaal when you unlock the shuffleboarding minigame.

One of the most popular games of all time for a reason. Killer story, great characters, just a ton of fun all around. One of Rockstar's best games ever.

this had to be from the Chum Bucket cause ain't no one cooking here

I was a 2000s kid, but I idolized 80s and 90s NBA stars before my time and looked up to legends like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dr. J, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Rented this from Blockbuster constantly and was always amazed at the awesome, unique gameplay and being one of the few basketball games at the time to utilize such a legend-heavy roster.
