The platforming is kinda braindead and the vibes are only good when you’re not in an underground level. (You’re in an underground level for 90 percent of the game.) The scenes by Trigger are neat, but not worth the price of admission: stick with Pirate's Curse for the series' best gameplay or Half-Genie Hero for the best art design and tunes.
