This game was marketed in some places as "Metal Slug: Submarine"
I played it recently on my friends's immortal PS1. Not really impressed honestly.
Changing the name could have been an excellent decision considering how impossible it was for us, 90's kids, to get our hands on Metal Slug outside of the arcade machines. There was no port of Metal Slug available for PC or any home console at the time (and if there was, it was rather inaccesible for us), and i can definitely picture myself how many kids would go to their local video games store, seeing that there was a Metal Slug available for their consoles, only to find... this. Imagine such a dissapointment. I dodged that bullet thanks to Nivel X (argentinean chabones entenderán). So, changing the name could've probably been a smart decision in terms of marketing but also it was basically a fraud.
