Radiant historia is a full package with all its shortcomings being heavily overshadowed by what makes this game amazing, so i just want to chuck my thoughts hear as a little review or whatever. First of all the battle system is without a doubt one of my favourites in RPGs, the constant thinking put into making your chain as high as possible and pushing enemies into your certain traps and what not is so engaging and honestly never lost steam in my almost 60 hours of playtime. The only real con I have with this battle system is the reskin of enemies in the maps is a little too frequent but it's definitely nothing to be shunned about when even then it still manages to keep my engaged. Whilst boasting one of the best battle systems it is also accompanied by one of the most memorable OSTs I've heard, the areas and felt so alive with yoko shimomura hitting it out of the park time and time again. A multitude of things make the Boss fights feel so imapctful but it's mostly cause of the design of the bosses and how well it interacts with the battle system, alot of the times I would die to a Boss just trying to learn what the best tactic would be with my party, the games bosses really do make you use everything in your arsenal and strategically use the turn panel to get an inch ahead in power. Now for the story, I feel like the story is amazing and very heartfelt in all its themes and characters but it didn't really come full circle for me till the true "true" ending in which the nemesia dlc ties in with the og story. Thats not saying it was bad it just made me love it rather than like it, alot of the reasons I only liked the story at that point are due to some pretty predictable plot lines and twists but that stretch of the finale is without a doubt amazing crafted and changes my little pet peeves in its story to something I will remember for a long time. Radiant Historia does alot of things amazingly and for what it does do a little poorly, it more than makes up for it by being a very memorable experience and one of the finest DS games I've seen to date.
