This is just a straight upgrade over the original in pretty much every way. Better combat, better level design, better bosses, better story. If I were to have one complaint it would be that it’s greatest new addition is introduced in the very last level so it doesn’t feel like it gets as fleshed out as it could so I hope a sequel comes out that revolves around it.

And the new stuff is just unpolished. You spend half the game in Dharma tower just walking about and then the other half of the game is split into two parts, the wasteland and Dharma (again). The wasteland part seemed really cool in the trailers with the motorcycle and whatnot, but it’s just very fleshed out, like at all. And when you’re back in Dharma you get to use a wingsuit for like 1 level, which is just random and unneeded. I would rather they flesh out the other parts of the game than just adding that.
And the story is just dogshit and hard to follow, and the characters are boring, stale as fuck, and none of them have any interaction with us except for Kira and Zoe sometimes. And they try to make us care for these cardboard bullshit characters, when they’re just there because they had to have a story. It’s just bad.
