Pokémon just lost something when it made the jump to Switch. I'm not sure what it is either. But I can just tell. It feels like Game Freak put this & Scarlet/Violet out because they had to, not because the wanted to or that their hearts were in it. I tried this game after taking a long break from mainline Pokémon, but it wasn't until 2024 when I tried Gen 5 that I truly saw the spark this series is capable of having again.
