Killing Zombies Creatures have never felt better with a Submachine gun!

House of the Dead 4 is probably my second favorite Game from the "Canon" Numerical Games (Have not beaten Scarlet Dawn). The game feels responsive with the "new" weapon that they offer and the adding of grenades is such a welcoming addition to the gunplay. Playing this at home is certainly a lot different than playing it at the arcade. I can actually beat it at home and not have to worry about quarters. This game certainly has those Quarter muncher moments which would frustrate me outside of the home console release. I think HOTD 4 has the most enemies on screen compared to the old games that came before it. Aside from the gunplay the narrative of the game is always cheesy as this is a House of the dead game. Acting is as good as you expect with some over the top moments which is a staple to the franchise. However, I did not like how this game abruptly ends and makes you go through a Special mode to figure out what happens next. Again, not a pain for the home release but it would really peeved me in the arcade after that final boss. House of the dead 4 Special which is available in the home release of this game on PlayStation 3 provides some side content and even gives you some added value and to play it but it is extremely short and honestly should have been added to the arcade version of the game but I can see why they did it as it would prolong the game and it has spoilers for characters.

Overall, I think House of the Dead 4 is a great experience at home and I would recommend picking it up and going through its Story mode. It has alot of options to tailor you experience to how you want it and even challenge yourself to get the High Score.

I got this as part of the House of the Dead Bundle on PS3 which comes with HOTD III , HOTD 4 and HOTD Overkill, Directors cut for 29.99 last time I checked. These really are trying times to really play these more "Modernly" since they have not been ported anywhere else. I would HIGHLY recommend people curious enough to pick it up!
