Replaying this after playing the remake, and yeah I still think a remake was well deserved. But I also understand why some wouldn't want it. I played RE before but this was the first game in the series I finished when I was young. I didn't replay it again until 14 years later, and then again after I finished the remake. It's still a really fun game, but around the mid to end part is when I start getting a bit too overpowered with the weapon upgrades, which I feel like was the prime intention to ease in newcomers. The QTE's were also annoying. Despite this, I still think this game holds up very well. The level design is great, the soundtrack is awesome, and the dialogue, while cheesy, is still amazing. The amount of content the game has too is ecstatic. I prefer the remake a bit more, but the original RE 4 is still a fun trip to head back to again after so long.
