Improves on the original Psychonauts in nearly every way. It has a fantastic story, fantastic characters with amazing personalities and real struggles, on-point voice acting, great upgrade and shop system, impeccable writing that stays endearing and extremely hilarious, collectables that feel very rewarding to look for and collect, worlds that feel lived in and are a blast to explore and platform in, fun combat that does not overstay its welcome, incredible artistic design and graphics, and the perfect length. I do have my problems with the game. Mainly the serviceable music, small amounts of jank in game play and audio, some final collectables in the current world being a PAIN to look for, and some characters going a bit too much in the background in the story for my liking. I also have some small other nitpicks but everything negative I feel towards this game is easily overshadowed by such a well crafted game that you can feel the amount of crazy love and passion that went into it.

A sequel 16 years in the making, and one that totally lives up.
