If you can overlook the fact that it's not really a RPG like the old Paper Marios, you'll find an incredibly charming and fun game. As someone who enjoys puzzles, I enjoyed the combat a ton and went out of my way to fight every single enemy at least once. The writing is great, the characters are probably my favorite from the PM games I've played (SPM, SS, 64), and almost every song in this game is a banger. The overworld fights also help to break up the puzzle battles with a different form of combat, which helps when you want a break from all the puzzles.
Overall Origami King is a fantastic game, and I hope future Paper Mario games can be more like it instead of Sticker Star.
