A gorgeous game with a bunch of great visuals backed up by some nice gameplay. The game's voice acting also seemed improved from its predecessor, where I remember not being super impressed most of the time. The game's story was also great, leaving me constantly worried about how it would end for each of the characters the game introduced.
Despite all that, several optimization issues held back this experience from being truly great for me. Important story moments and intense chase scenes were interrupted by stuttering or occasionally audio just disappearing for a few seconds for me. This wasn't an issue for the entire first half, only beginning in the second half and leaving me puzzled. There were also a few buggy moments in the game - one chapter has a broken checkpoint where your seemingly sole option is to have to repeat a puzzle sequence over from the start, and there was a moment where Amicia was eaten by rats despite me standing in the light and being perfectly fine.
