Don't let the art style fool you: this is one of the deepest and most difficult "deck builder roguelites" that I have ever played. It is super addicting, free, and recommended. NameBrand.

I told myself I would review this game if I beat it, or if I feel I've played it enough... 10 hours. Man. I'm not getting that time back lol.

This game is crazy addicting. I started playing out of curiosity because one of my friends has 80 hours in it... and wondered... how. Now I know. You're always itching for that perfect team. For that perfect build. For that perfect run.

To even fathom beating everyone in the arena you have to know the pets, the items, and their mechanics. You have to start to piece together pet combos, and scaling pet values... you have to realize that underneath it's all just a numbers game, and random chance. Then you have a shot at winning. Because you have to constantly adapt your team build. Got a pet you want? Shop might never give you another pet again. Maybe the shop does rotate and you DO get what you want. Game places you against an unbeatable opponent. Your thoughts of strategy in this game have to be so big brain that it could power civilizations. And yet in the end, it seems victory is within reach... but at the same time you never come close...

For a free game about pets fighting it has exceeded my expectations of what it could be. I really do wish, however, that there was a "Sandbox" where you could test different team set ups. Learn what the different pets do, etc. The learning curve is massive, and an in game resource like that would be incredible. Getting to turn 10 just to get a new pet in the shop I've never seen before puts me at a unfair disadvantage, I think.

I also believe a mode with a fixed shop (whether a new pvp mode or a single player adventure mode, or whatever) would also go a long way. And this could help new players learn everything at their disposal.

Anyway. If you have some free time inbetween games. Or work. Lunch. The bathroom even (the cross save on android is amazing)... good game. Recommend. Frustratingly addicting.
