The more I think about it the more I feel I'm looking for a game that makes me feel the same wa Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 made me feel when I was like 11 years old with an immersive world, loveable cast of characters and solid story that keeps me hooked.

I'm afraid I'm too old and my brain is too developed to get any kind of experience kid me had with PMD2 which saddens me because I legit loved that.

May I suggest Klonoa and Klonoa 2 together? Mainly via Phantasy Reverie Series because Klonoa 2 hates being emulated and is scalped to hell for its original PlayStation 2 release. Odd suggestion, I know, but hear me out. It's short since both games are platformers, but they manage to express a lot in ways that encourage viewing the story through different lens to create what you might be looking for. I shall say no more, I love those 2 games as well as all the PMD games for how much they resonated with me and plenty of others out there. May I live to see the year when Klonoa 3 and one last PMD greet the world with their incredible concepts as if they've never left...
