I might've been a bit too harsh with my initial rating and review, but after playing some more with friends, it's really fun. I think it speaks more to the gameplay of monster-catchers/tamers which will forever be fun, than the actual gameplay itself, but I mean it's still fun and that's what games are about. Plus all the problems that come with the Xbox One version and early access are still present so it isn't a smooth experience by any means.

If you have the patience for survival mechanics, are playing on PC, and with a good set of friends, you can genuinely have a pretty good time with Palworld.
