Score: 86/100

Story: N/A
There is technically a story in the career mode but I feel like it is so insignificant it's barely worth mentioning and because I spent a good amount of time listening to music or talking to my friends I didn't pay attention anyway.

Gameplay: 10/10
Perfect. In Dirt 5 you basically only use the two triggers but it feels so good to control it doesn't matter. Dirt 5 also combines simulation rally racing with a bit of arcadey control, which I think makes this game a great competitive and casual game. It also offers various different types of races, so even if you don't like a couple of certain types there are still plenty to choose from and almost anyone should be able to beat the campaign.

Graphics: 10/10
Beautiful. Loved using photo mode

Art Direction: 10/10
The varied collection of locations and tracks really gave Codemasters a lot to work with. You have your normal-looking rally tracks in different locations to set them apart and then you have modes like ice breaker and gymkhana which are super colourful and look amazing.

Soundtrack: 5/10
Mostly just generic music you hear in a lot of racing games. Does the job though.

Sound Design: 10/10
This really isn't a surprise. Racing games are known for their great sound design and paired with the dualsense controller's speaker it makes for an immersive experience.

Extras: 7/10
Online is fine and the playground mode is neat but just not for me. Splitscreen multiplayer was fun though.

Overall Fun Factor: 8/10
Would've given this a 9 because this game is genuinely really good and a lot of fun, but promising crossplay and then not actually delivering it to us was really annoying when I tried to play with friends on a different platform.

Overall though I highly recommend Dirt 5 to anyone that likes racing games.
