Its fine... until you read your second visual novel.
Rips off Totonos story and does everything worse, damages visual novels reputation to be just "shallow dating sims" and nothing more and gives the impression that "this is the only exception to the rule "oooh look at me im so DIFFERENT". First half of the game is straight trash, nobody would even care about it, Lazy writing and twists are nothing but shock value. Meanwhile Totono has so much love and passion put into it where even the down time is enjoyable, unlike DDLC.

TLDR: Go read Totono it clears Dookie dookie shiterature club
