To keep it short, this game (while not as good as the first one imo) is super great and fantastic that was worth my time and worth your time as well especially if you liked the first one + the Yakuza series in general.

Lost Judgment is really great but has a problem I call the eye for an eye issue. In short, everything I found that I really liked also had something equally as annoying or bad that I didn't like.
Could go on for a bit, but here's some short summaries of a few:
Story is fantastic and has some of the strongest like moral dilemma in a Yakuza game in a hot minute, but also didn't hit as hard as many of the other stories overall.

Combat is fluid and feels nice just as always if not as good as previous titles, but also this combat has a HORRIBLE way of defense and I swear I spent almost 50% of the combat on the ground either mashing spacebar or using EX action when on the floor because every fucking enemy move can just knock you down or stun you.

Side stories / school diary mode is so fucking good I almost lost track of the campaign working on them, but some school stories are shallow as hell and also whoever thought the bright idea to lock side stories behind the buzz app thing and also to where you just had to awkwardly stand at random convos killed the pacing and vibe of side stories and made them for the first time more of a chore than a joy for me personally.

Also, for me personally, the side content here besides MRC is kinda meh. I don't like/care for drone racing, the VR game stuff is okay, but it never really went to it again after the first time (especially since you have to actually go find passes to play it. I know there's a way to do it infinitely, but I didn't like it enough to actively go for it) In my opinion, there just wasn't enough good side content this time around which was a shame. (I miss you cabaret club, pocket racing, and Ichiban business game).

They got rid of the amount of times you had to do tailing missions which thank god I fucking hated them after a while, but then all they did was replace it with CHASE SECTIONS which are slightly better but also got annoying real fast.

No real negative to attach to this one, but Skateboarding Yagami is one of the best additions they added it made moving around the world so much better and quicker.

Despite all my gripes, I still really like this game and it still is one of the better games I've played this year. Still a good recommend, but just feel it's a bit of a step back versus its predecessor.
